This session is intended to provide a strategic platform for discussion on ASEAN’s gas development trajectory, particularly in strengthening regional gas connectivity and advancing energy security in line with the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC). This panel is envisioned to bring together representatives from ASCOPE (NOCs), industry, regulators, and intergovernmental bodies/strategic think tanks. 

Key discussion points include:

  • ASEAN’s strategic role in implementing the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) on Oil and Gas Connectivity and Security, with a focus on offshore gas development
  • TAGP as a critical offshore gas evacuation and monetisation infrastructure, enabling cross-border connectivity between offshore supply sources and regional demand centres
  • Role of National Oil Companies (NOCs) in driving offshore pipeline development through regional collaboration, coordinated investment, and integrated offshore–onshore infrastructure planning
