Floating solutions such as FPSOs, FLNGs, and LNG carriers are reshaping offshore energy by delivering efficient, adaptable, and lower-emission options for production, storage, and transport. As demand for cleaner energy rises, innovations in FPSO and FLNG design are optimising efficiency, reducing emissions, and improving project economics. These advances are enabling more techno-economic deployment of LNG, an essential lower-emission energy source for Asia, as well as integration with CCUS and offshore CO₂ networks.

Meanwhile, LNG shipping and storage—including next-generation carrier designs and FSRUs—are evolving to meet Asia Pacific’s growing energy needs. Offshore carbon transport and storage systems are also gaining traction as regional CCS hubs take shape. This session explores how cutting-edge offshore technologies are advancing sustainability, improving flexibility, and supporting the region’s transition to a lower-carbon future.
