Eni

Eni is a global energy company headquartered in Italy, with a presence in Indonesia dating back to 1968. Today, Eni is among the country’s key natural gas suppliers, with operations spanning production, exploration, and development, particularly in the deepwater areas of Kutei Basin in the Makassar Strait.

In 2023, Eni announced the discovery of significant gas reserves in the Geng North field, North Ganal Working Area, Makassar Strait, which was recognized as one of the world’s top three exploration discoveries in 2023 with initial estimates exceeding 5 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of gas in place.
